How do villager trades work?
Each villager profession has a set of trades that unlock as you trade with them. Trades can be refreshed by breaking and replacing the workstation. Master-level villagers have the best trades but require trading through all lower tiers first.
What's the best profession for emerald farming?
Fletcher (sticks → emeralds) and Farmer (crops → emeralds) are the most efficient for bulk emerald farming. Librarians are best for enchanted books since you can sell them for 35+ emeralds each.
How many villagers do I need for a trading hall?
A basic trading hall needs at least 1 of each profession (10 villagers). For maximum efficiency, use 2-3 of each top profession (Fletcher, Farmer, Librarian) to keep trades flowing while others restock.
Can villager trades give enchanted items?
Yes! Librarians sell enchanted books, Toolsmiths sell enchanted diamond tools, and Weaponsmiths sell enchanted swords. The enchantments are random but can be reset by breaking and replacing the workstation.
How do I get the best trade prices?
Curing zombie villagers gives massive discounts (up to 100% off). Hero of the Village also gives discounts. Combine both for the cheapest trades possible.
